Jan. 2014 Update

We apologize for not posting a recent update sooner. We have been waiting on information from our agency about Ethiopia and International adoption.

Late December we were made aware of Ethiopia making some changes or shutting their doors on International Adoption. As of this week we have been told that Ethiopia will keep their doors open at this time, but changes will be taking place.

We would like to let everyone know that with much prayer and thought we have decided to move our adoption to the States. We feel due to the many changes and countries shutting their doors, it be best to move our International Adoption to a Domestic Adoption.

God is faithful and he has a plan.
We thank you all for your support and prayers!

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

"I see a world opening its heart to the millions of orphans who desperately need a family and I feel immense hope. These kids, no matter where they're from or what their background is, they need a new last name, a forever one. They need family traditions and trips to Dairy Queen. They need warriors to fight for them and mommies and daddies to kiss and tickle them."

Please pray for our family and our adoption.

Our Puzzle is Here!

How it works:

We have a 500 piece puzzle with a picture of Africa.
For $5, a person/family purchases 1 piece of the jigsaw puzzle.

You can purchase as many puzzle pieces as you wish.
$5 = 1 piece

We will write the name of the person/family on the back of the piece(s) purchased.
As the puzzle pieces are purchased, we will take pictures to show the progress.
When all the pieces have been purchased we will frame the puzzle to display it in her room as a reminder of the support and love shown to us/her during the adoption process.
100% of funds donated will go directly to adoption fees .

If everyone just bought one puzzle piece for $5 we will have raised $2,500!

We are so excited about the idea behind this fundraiser. We love the idea of showing our daughter how many people loved her enough to purchase a puzzle piece to bring her home. Just imagine her seeing ALL of those names of the people who wanted to help give her HOPE and a future.

Pick your puzzle piece(s)

After you click buy now, please add the name you would like written on your puzzle piece(s) in the "description" box.

Update on our journey

Where we are in the adoption process:
Many of you have been asking for updates and we love to see so many interested in our adoption for "Little Hope".
We submitted the fee of $2,500 and are now in the Ethiopia program.
We are working on the "paper chase" which is submitting our Dossier (pronounced as DOSS-EE-AY) to Ethiopia.
This is lots of paper work and info about us. This process can take 4-6mths to complete.
We are starting one of our training classes and trying to get our home study started, which is $2,000. We are still raising funds for this fee.

Thank you for asking for updates on our adoption journey, prayers, love and your support!
As you can see this will be a long journey. A journey with lots of hard work, patience and putting our trust and faith completely in God. One that will be well worth it all!
The wait will help give us time to raising the needed funds for the adoption and time to prepare for our little girl. We trust God will allow everything to be completed in His time.

A New Way You Might Be Able To Help Us!

We are collecting used inkjet and toner cartridges to raise money for our Adoption. If you or your work throws away empty inkjet or toner cartridges save them for us! This is a great way you can help us.
We send them to The Funding Factory and they send us a check!

Thank you!
